Moving emails from old server to Windows 2008 Server

NOTE: If you are using emails configured with Outlook or Outlook Express or similar email clients in POP3 mode, DO NOT IMPORT Emails from previous server as it may cause to have duplicate emails downloaded to your Outlook / Outlook Express.

 

To move emails from old Server to new server, follw these steps:

1. Create email account on new server.

2. open http://mail.hosttrue.in to login to new email account on Webmail interface.

3. After login go to Settings > Advanced Settings > Message Retrival

4. On right panel click on New, which will open a form to provide details of old email server.

5. If you are using custom folders to store emails on old server, Use IMP import type else use POP import type (NOTE: only 10 IMAP imports are allowed per domain).

6. Use mail server as: mail.hosttrue.com (this is to avoid interruption if you change the name server of domain).

7. Provide Full email address and password as it was on old server.

8. Choose mode as Automatic, and optional to keep emails on old server.

9. Once you have filled up all the values, clikc on "Test Connection" on top to make sure all your configuration values are correct.

10. Once the test is passed save your configuration and all DONE.
